Le Journal for Religion, Film and Media (JRFM) est une revue en ligne qui analyse l’influence réciproque entre religion et médias avec une attention particulière aux formes de communications audiovisuelles et interactives. Publié par un réseau de spécialistes dans le domaine du film et des médias, travaillant professionnellement depuis longtemps dans la recherche, dans l’enseignement et dans la publication scientifiques, JRFM apporte une contribution innovante dans le panorama des revues européennes. Le comité de rédaction réunit compétences et collaborations de longue durée dans l’analyse des médias, en sociologie, en sciences des religions et en théologie.
Le rôle dominant des médias dans la société contemporaine est caractérisé par une relation très articulée avec la religion. D’un côté, la représentation, production, réception et consommation des médias présentent des aspect typiques des systèmes religieux, tandis que, de l’autre, les communautés, institutions et traditions religieuses contemporaines intègrent et sont transformées par les nouvelles techniques de communication.
JRFM est publié en ligne open-access et peut être téléchargé gratuitement sur le site où acheté imprimé chez Schüren Verlag.
